1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Macedo Marketing LLC ("Macedo Marketing", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on macedomarketing.com and its subdomains. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage and scripts that load content from other services. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies). Others are set by the services we use, such as Meta or Google (third-party cookies), and those providers handle that information under their own policies.
2. Cookie categories and how consent works
We group cookies into four categories. Only essential cookies run without your permission. All other categories stay off until you allow them.
- Essential: needed for the site to work, keep it secure and remember your cookie choices. These can't be turned off.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages they view and how they got there.
- Marketing: measure and improve our own advertising, for example by telling Meta that someone visited a page after seeing our ad, and showing our ads to people who have visited our site.
- External content: load forms, booking calendars and videos from other providers inside our pages (see section 4).
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all categories, reject all optional ones, or choose by category. Rejecting optional cookies doesn't stop you from using the site.
We store your choice in your browser for 180 days, then ask again. Where EU or UK law applies, we rely on your consent for all optional categories and on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working site for essential cookies.
3. Cookies we use
| Category | Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | macedo_cookie_consent_v2 | Macedo Marketing | Remembers your cookie choices | 180 days |
| Analytics | _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
| Analytics | _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the session | 2 years |
| Marketing | Meta Pixel | Meta | Loads Meta's measurement script and sends page-visit events | Runs while the page is open |
| Marketing | _fbp | Meta | Identifies browsers for ad measurement and audiences | 90 days |
| External content | Set by each provider | Formly, Calendly, Wistia, YouTube, Vimeo | Load and run embedded forms, calendars and videos | Set by each provider |
Google Analytics currently runs only on our portfolio page. The Meta Pixel runs on our service and offer pages, not on recruitment pages.
Cookie names and durations are set by the providers and can change. We review this list when we add or remove a tool.
4. Embedded forms, calendars and videos
We use Formly for applications, Calendly for call bookings, and Wistia, YouTube and Vimeo for videos. These providers may run their own analytics or advertising inside their embeds, which we can't control separately. So our embedded versions load only when you have allowed Analytics, Marketing and External content.
If you don't allow all three, you'll see a direct link instead, so you can still apply, book a call or watch a video on the provider's own site.
When an embed loads or you follow a link, your browser connects to that provider, which may receive your IP address, browser and device details, the page you came from and how you interact with the content. Anything you enter in a form or booking calendar is processed through that service. Each provider's own privacy and cookie policies apply to its processing.
5. Managing your choices
On our site. Click Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw your consent at any time. When you turn a category off, it stops loading from then on and the page reloads where needed. We also try to remove the related first-party cookies. We can't remove cookies set on a provider's own domain, or recall information a provider has already received.
In your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of our site, such as remembering your choices, from working.
On ad platforms. You can manage how Meta and Google use your information for ads in your account settings on those platforms. See Meta's Privacy Policy for Meta's controls.
Browser signals. Our site doesn't currently change its settings in response to Do Not Track signals. Use Cookie preferences to control optional cookies.
Your cookie choices and your email preferences are separate. Rejecting cookies doesn't unsubscribe you from emails, and unsubscribing doesn't change your cookie settings.
6. Changes and contact
We update this policy when we add or remove tools or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we add a new optional category, we will ask for your consent again.
